THURSDAY THOUGHTS | Who I really am?

Hello there! How are you? It's Thursday finally, just one day left and the weekend is here with us! As today is Thursday and a couple of weeks ago I shared with you my first post of a personal series (let's call them series even though I don't know if they're series actually! Haha) where I talk to you about differents points of view of something. (If you're interested in the previous post, click here) Today I want to talk about myself, to give you an idea of who I really am.
You may know that my name is Camila if you read my little bio (on the right, under the picture of myself) and you also know that I prefer being called 'Cams'. That's fine because it's true. If you've been reading my blog since the beginning or for a while now, you may notice that I've never told where I'm from and why. Well, this is the point that I wanted to reach. I'm from South America and I live in the land of 'the end of the world'; Argentina, in other words.
If you're wondering, why I decided to run a blog in English instead of Spanish it's simple: I rather talk in English all day instead of Spanish, I find my language sooo boring. Also, I've been learning English since I was 8 years old and this was the perfect challenge for me to test what I've learnt. And, last, because I started a Spanish blog and it didn't work; it seems that 'my people' don't read blogs and this kind of stuff. Who on Earth don't read a blog!? Them.
If you're wondering, why I've decided to tell you this is because my blog is going on well and you'll notice that I don't talk about MAC products or shops about Forever 21, Topshop, Lush, etc. but, sadly here in Argentina we don't have those shops (it's a completly shame, I want to cry). The only one here is MAC but it's very far away from my city and it's a craziness the idea of go to another province (or state) just to buy makeup.
And, if you're wondering, why I've never told this before is because sometimes I feel ashamed of where I'm from. Argentina is not the perfect country to live, I don't really like it but I try, because of my family. And not all the people around the world love argentinians, I think I was afraid of being rejected if I said it at first.
But now I did, you know it about me and I'm feeling better now because it was stuck in my throat. Now it's going to be different!
Hope you enjoy it and accept me as the real me now! I really enojoy writting and reading blogs and I don't want to stop doing it :)

Goodbye and see you soon!

Tie Cakes | Recipe

Happy Thursday! C'mon, show me a smile, one day left until weekend! And, as I want to sugar-coat-you, I'm posting today a homemade recipe that my granny always cook... tie cakes! I don't actually know the original name of these but my grandma always says that they look like little ties, that's why I call them 'tie cakes'. Anyways, here's the recipe and the process...

You'll need:
1/2 kg of rising flour
1/4 kg of butter
1 tea spoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of milk
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs

Cooking time!

On a bowl, put  all the butter, the cup of sugar, both eggs and the vainilla extract. I've mixed all the ingredients with a fork, it's quite difficult at first but becomes easier then. Once you have a smooth and homogeneous mixture, you need to pour the milk and blend again. Then, add the flour slowly until you can knead it with your hands.

Now you have a big and sticky thing, you'll need more flour to be adding to the dough so you can knead it until it's less sticky. Once it doesn't stick on your hands, leave it in the bowl with cling film on the top; the dough will need to rest for about 15 minutes.

One of the last steps to do is, cut the dough in a smaller ball. Then you'll need to stretch it with flour and a rolling pin. Cut little -or big- squares and a little hole in the center of it with a knife so you can take a tip and pass it by the center so it looks like a 'tie'.
On a saucepan, put some oil, I used sunflower oil -just in case you want to know- When it's boiling and you can see bubbles on the top, throw one of your tie cakes inside, being careful obviously. If it fries swiftly, the oil is ready but if it takes its minutes, leave it a little more to get hotter. When your ties look goldy and nice, take them away and put them on a absorbent paper.

Once all of them are ready, you can add some common or icing sugar, or any other toppings you want to. I ate them with common sugar -because I hadn't icing- and some milk jam, delicious!

I hope you liked the recipe and you understood every single step, leave me in the comments below what do you think and if you try it, make sure to tell me how good they were!
Sorry for not being posting for a long time ago but my computer broke and I was very busy with school stuff; I promise I'll post more often! Haha

Goodbye and see you soon!

THURSDAY THOUGHTS | Friends

Hi there! As I want to post more regularly I’ve decided to a Thursday Thoughts where I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts, moods, likes and dislikes. It’s going to be like a little chat between you and I, we’re going to know more about each other and I hope it’s going to be fun!
I decided to talk about friends today because we all have those real and loyal friends, the ones that are always there for us when we need to talk, to laugh, a hug or a shoulder to cry.
Those friends are forever, they’ll never leave your side and even though you’ve the biggest discussion in the whole world (and if you’re as proud as I am and you’ll never apologize, my bad I know) they’ll come back to you, have a talk and there you have, best friends again! But also we have those friends who hurt us, the ones that we love a lot but it seems that they don’t love us back.  And this is why I want to talk about friends. This is my situation: I’ve got a group of 6 friends (including me) and then there’s my best friend ever since I was a child. In a blink of an eye she started to treat me like poop, she is always complaining on the things I do and she remains me my flaws all the time.  Probably not everyone has this type of friends and boy, you’re so lucky! But, for the one that has them, I understand you at all.

What to do? Actually, I’m just complaining all the time about her attitude with me but I need to sit down and talk. Talking is the solution about all the problems, you don’t need to shout or insult anyone by sending them to hell.  You just need to breath, mentally count until 10 and there you go, tell them how you feel, why you don’t want to be treated like poop and if you did something to deserve their wickedness. After all you are friends, you know about each other and there’s affection between you.
Sometimes, this kind of people are called ‘toxics’ because all they do is tearing us down and make us feel bad with them, with ourselves and with our relationships. It’s unhealthy to be carrying on a relationship that it’s not working anymore; I’m not talking about just friends, also it can be included on boyfriends and girlfriends. It’s hard to let go, I know but sometimes we have to think about how do we feel and what do we want instead of ‘what are they going to think if I leave?’ It’s our life, the one that deserve happiness and good vibes, not negativity and sadness.
So, what do you want? A nice person beside you for the rest of your days or someone that only gives you stress?

Hope it helps you if you have problems with friends (or even your partner), it’s not a big thing but I’ll be proud of myself if I helped someone. This is my first time trying this kind of things but I think we all need to let our insecurities free and look for things that make ourselves happy, life is about happiness!

Goodbye and see you soon!

REVIEW ● Dream Fresh BB Cream by Maybelline

Hello everybody! I hope your week started in an awesome day and it is going well!
The other day I went to a drugstore decided to buy Maybelline's FIT ME foundation and Falsies Mascara but sadly the mascara wasn’t on stock and the foundation was too dark for my skin –So the lady at the store suggested me to try the BB Cream and the Mega Plush mascara. I couldn’t help buy them and after applying the cream, I desperately decided to do a review of it; this is the best foundation-moisturizer-sunscreen-etcetera I’ve never ever tried before!

First of all, all of its benefits.

The BB Cream isn't a regular foundation or moisturizer, it combines skincare and makeup in one single cream. Maybelline's says that you'll love it because:
  1. Blurs imperfections
  2. Brightens
  3. Evens skin tone
  4. Smoothes
  5. Hydrates
  6. Enhances
  7. Protects with SPF 30
  8. And it's 0% oils and heavy ingredients.
What I can say about it? It's all true. Actually, my face isn't perfect moreover my skin is oily and now I have lot of pimples I can't deal with. Honestly, I didn't believe that a cream could do magic and also make all my flaws disappear; but it worked. I applied the BB Cream and then I put some concealer on because I was terrified in case it didn't work. My face looked natural, soft and you couldn't guess if I was wearing foundation or not. I loved it.

I needed a change

One of the biggest mistakes I've been doing during my trip in this beauty journey was choosing a foundation. I've never chose the perfect colour for my skin, it was my dilema! But, I guess, I finally found it!
Number 1 foundation was Dream Mat in the colour golden beige 40 by Maybelline and it was highly dark for my skin but yes, I've worn it! It has a very good coverage but the only thing that doesn't help is its colour.
Number 2 foundation was the Super Natural Mat in the colour fawn 40 (it's lighter than the Dream Mat one) but it even was my favourite. I absolutely loved it but the colour wasn't my skin tone. Same about the first one, nice coverage and it suits perfectly to my skin but the colour was the only thing that didn't fit. Also, it wasn't too bad; I'm pale and it gave me kind of tanning, a weird one if I can say!
And number 3 is the BB Cream, it's the perfect colour for my skin tone and all the benefits are doing a great job over my skin. It's the LIGHT colour, the most light colour of the BB Creams shades.

Now, I want to see your opinion and scolding for me for suck at choosing foundations! Have you tried the BB Cream? If you did, does it really worked on you? What's your colour? And, if you didn't try it yet, what are you waiting for? Go and buy it, you'll love it!
Goodbye and see you soon!

Ombré Hair; How I Take Care Of It

Hello there, how are you? Happy Wednesday! I know I should posted on Monday, at least on Tuesday, but I couldn't so here it is a new post! Yay!
If you're ocasionally following me on my personal twitter (click HERE) or my fan twitter account (HERE) you'll may know that I dyed my ends blonde and it's the famous Ombré Hair style. This is my second time dyeing my ends; the first time I did the same, trying to get the ombré effect with a pink fantasy colour (it was like a electric magenta, like a neon colour) but it really damaged my hair and the colour faded away so fast, so I decided to cut it and waited a year for my hair to grow back healthy.
It's been a week and I'm already taking care of my hair like it was a baby! I really want it to be healthy because I'm not interested in cut it again or dye it with my natural hair colour; I just want it to stay in my head!
So, about my haircare routine and products; it's not a big deal, I'm not using a lot of products. It's just shampoo, conditioner and an oil.

30 minutes before washing my hair I apply the oil, which is an elixir with organic Argan oil, Pracaxi oil, Camellia oil, Almond oil, Olive oil and Corn oil. And, being honest, I've never listened to the half of its ingredients but they work perfectly in my hair! It's now so soft and also smell like coconut; weird but lovely! Haha
When the half hour came to its end, I wash my hair like I always do with my current shampoo and conditioner (which is the TRESemmé Repairs Rituals). Then I let it dry naturally or with my hairdryer.

Well, it's not the kind of post I'm currently posting but I wanted to share it with you because I'm super excited about my hair! I'm thinking of posting this Friday (I'll, I promise!) and then on Monday as I usually do.

Goodbye and I'll see you soon!
